The content shape compounds with schema markup. Your H2/H3 hierarchy should map directly to the FAQPage or HowTo schema you ship in the head, so the model gets the same structure twice - once in the rendered HTML and once in the JSON-LD. Mismatches penalise hard; alignment compounds.
4. How long should AI-citable content be?
Long enough to fully cover the topic, short enough that every paragraph earns its place. In practice that lands tutorials in the 1,500 to 3,000 word range and definitional content in the 800 to 1,500 word range.
