How it works
Enter your source details and the generator produces 6-8 anchor text variants ranked by strength. The scoring rewards anchors that carry the claim, name the publisher, include a year, and hit the 4-10 word sweet spot. Generic anchors like "click here" are flagged as anti-patterns.
Anchor text rules
- 4-10 words - long enough to carry meaning, short enough to read as natural prose.
- Include the publisher - "Gartner" or "Stanford" transfer source trust directly into your anchor.
- Include a year - recency signal without the crawler needing to follow the link.
- Never use "click here" or "read more" - these anchors carry zero context and are actively discounted by AI crawlers.
- One strong anchor per claim - don't repeat the same anchor across multiple links to the same source.
