Why scan the whole market
- Knowing your own authority is useless without a reference - market scanning gives you the percentile you need to plan realistically.
- Velocity spots the story before the tier does - a tier-3 domain moving +20 in a month is the one you should partner with or acquire, not the tier-1 that's been stable for years.
- Consolidation ratio (top 3 share ÷ total share) dictates your strategy: above 70% you need PR, below 40% you can still win with content alone.
